Can you use Dawn Dish soap as body wash and shampoo?

I ran out of body wash yesterday and am in need of my daily shower. I dont have a car to get to the store and was wondering if Dawn soap could be used as shampoo and body wash or if it would be bad for your hair if put in it.Can you use Dawn Dish soap as body wash and shampoo?
yes you can

mark kCan you use Dawn Dish soap as body wash and shampoo?
Any types of dish washing soaps are bad for your hair and skin. There are certain types of chemicals in there that just aren't made for skin and hair. They can badly damage both, they'll become very dry. And most of all your hair will look awful, dish washing soap will cause your hair to scrunchy, knotty, and frizzy. Im pretty sure you dont want that. But I hope I helped =]
No!! That will dry out your skin and hair and is just gross!

Since you can't get to a store, just get in the shower and get your washcloth wet and use it like that with out soap. But i would suggest buying soap ASAP!
Yes it can, but it may dry out your skin and hair. Make sure if you do use it, put some conditioner in your hair if you have any in the house. Get real body wash and shampoo as soon as you can.
my guy friend used dawn to get the hair die out of his hair and well...lets just say it was an awful shade of orange
no i wouldn't say thats the best idea

Use shampoo it's better for the hair it smells better and doesn't leave any soap scum. and if you're gonna use conditioner use a very small amount.Should I use shampoo or soap for this?
Eh...most girls don't keep any pubic hair anyway (some guys will). And I think for those that do, they use soap. Interesting question. Conditioner...is that to keep your mound of pubies soft and lustrous? Ha ha. Gross.
you can use what ever one you want, but shampoo makes it nice and soft :) and yes..you can use conditioner
if you use shampoo then you must condition....if you have pub hairs take care of them dont use soap...but i hate pubic hair so i shave so much better feeling

It damages you hair and it is not shinny
it dnt make it shiny like shampoo n iiit can damage ur hair .
because soap is used to remove dirt and oil from your body where shampoo removes dirt but not oils that are necessary to have in your hair
Soap is more harsh than any shampoo. Shampoos are designed for the hair and scalp. Soap will dry your scalp out more than any shampoo.
It is not really wrong, it just is not as effective. It can dull hair and is not as easy to get out thoroughly. Shampoo is made to clean hair and is easy to rinse out cleanly; leaving no residue or film.
soap does not do the complete job!
soap has some stronger chemical levels due to antibactrieal cleansing n shtt like that.... its supoed to be used to wash n clean n deoderize yur body.... shampoo has speciicfc needs for yur own dead cells stuck to yur scalp
soap has much harsher ingredients and suck the moisture out of your hair where as shampoo puts back and restores moisture with less harsh ingredients to make it silky sleek
    its dries your hair out
soap is a degreaser so it strips the natural oils and adds waxy buildup thicker than the wax in shampoo
it doesnt clean the way your hair is supposed to be cleaned

Is baby soap a good alternative to kitten shampoo?

We got a kitten last night who smells horrible, smells like someone washed her in fabric softener...I don't have any kitten shampoo just yet but have plenty of baby soap, I heard it was okay to use that?

I would wait until tomorrow to get the soap, but I have a scent allergy and I can't even go near her or I get a migraine. Is baby soap a good alternative to kitten shampoo?
I hope you have a welding apron and gloves. I would try just plain water first, then if need be baby soap, but the bare minimum. Is baby soap a good alternative to kitten shampoo?
The baby soap would not be good for the kittens coat of skin. The PH balance is not the same, and you will find that the coat will be very dry and may cause the kitten to itch. Why not just rinse the kitten in warm water and massage the water through the fur gently. This may be all that is needed.
I think it would be ok. I think most baby shampoos tend to be pretty gentle. And it's a one time thing, right?

Just be sure not to get any in its eyes, and rinse rinse rinse!

If at first you don't succeed, I wouldn't wash it a second time. The smell will disapate (how the heck do you spell that?) fairly quickly.
Baby soap should be okay since it's gentle, like RuneAmok says. Also, Dawn dishwashing soap will also work, if you have that. But nothing that has antibacterial on it should be used.
I would rinse the kitten in warm water and skip the detergents altogether.

Will shampoo and soap hurt pet ducks?

When the weather gets warm, my son comes home from his workout, and uses the outdoor shower. Our ducks love it! They come right into the water with him. He doesn't seem to mind and is done quickly. Then the ducks splash arround on the wet drain stones for a few minutes. But, I'm worried that the ducks will drink some suds and get sick. My son thinks the biggest problem we might have is very clean ducks. Anyone have the amswer? Will shampoo and soap hurt pet ducks?
It appears your son is correct.

';Once stable, oiled birds go through a series of tub washes alternating between baths with a one percent solution of Dawn dishwashing liquid and clean water. The wash time varies depending on the amount of oil, and the size of the bird, but on average it takes two people 45 minutes and 300 gallons of water to do a thorough washing.

After being washed, the birds are put in net bottom cages with warm air dryers. The final steps are to put them in warm water pools, where they continue to preen, and finally into cold pools. Birds in rehabilitation are checked constantly to make sure that they are completely waterproofed and when their blood work and weight are in the normal range, they are banded and released.

We thank Procter and Gamble for the countless donations of Dawn dishwashing liquid that they have contributed over the years.';Will shampoo and soap hurt pet ducks?
Soap and water will not hurt your pet duck. If you use the right kind of soap and water then you will be okay.
well, if the swallow some they shouldn't get too sick, maybe just belly aches. If your going towash them, use babay shampoo or even better, Duck or Bird feather cleaner. Something that won't strip the natural oil from their feathers. Hope hat helps.
aw you have pet ducks i love ducks! I don't know what soaps/shampoos would harm them but good luck with finding out

Is there a reason why lather is always white no matter what color the soap, shampoo or detergent is?

Because you are seeing reflected light, and typically the light source in your bathroom/kitchen is white light from a bulb or from sunlight. ';Color'; is perception based on the reflected wavelengths of light; surfaces absorb some wavelengths and reflect others. We see the reflected wavelengths. When something ';looks'; white it is typically because it's reflecting all or almost all wavelengths of light. Is there a reason why lather is always white no matter what color the soap, shampoo or detergent is?
Lather some up just a little and estimate the reflectivity of the individual bubbles. Looks like 20% or so. In penetrating just the outer 0.01 inch or so of the fully developed lather structure a light ray encounters many of those surfaces, each reflecting a further percentage of the light that reaches that far.

The shampoo coloration isn't very dense when you look at it in the bottle. The lather is perhaps 10% shampoo and 90% air. So as it is being successively more totally reflected, the light ray passes through only a microscopic thickness of actual shampoo. As another answer said, if the incident light is white, that's what you'll see reflected as the apparent color of the lather. Is there a reason why lather is always white no matter what color the soap, shampoo or detergent is?
I think I've seen green lather with like pert plus or something...

I don't know- interesting question though!

Should I wash my dog with Dish soap or Kitten shampoo?

As i have no money and only have these available, should I use Dawn dish soap or Magic coat( A tearless shampoo for cats and kittens) to wash my poodle?Should I wash my dog with Dish soap or Kitten shampoo?
I've used human shampoo on my dog in a pinch but it was Johnson and Johnsons No More Tears Baby Shampoo...I use it to wash the dogs face.

Unless the dog absolutely needs a bath right now, you can wait until you get the right kind of shampoo. Dogs don't need baths too often anyway. Give him a good brushing and see if it helps.

Everyone gets stuck between paydays. I understand...just get some dog shampoo when you get paid.Should I wash my dog with Dish soap or Kitten shampoo?
I'd go with the Cat shampoo as Dawn dishsoap is very harsh. Just make sure you don't shampoo your dog too often because it will strip the natural and essential oils from your dog's skin. If you can go as long as a month, that would be the best for her, but if you can't wait that long it's recommended that you at least wait to do it every 10 days. Whenever you have a little money to spare, it would be great if you could get a natural, high quality shampoo that doesn't have harsh detergents in it. I recommend Doc. Ackermans Colloidal Oatmeal Shampoo or Cloud Star Buddy Wash Lavender %26amp; Mint.

To learn more about grooming check out: http://www.peaceful-organic-planet.com/n鈥?/a>
Stick to a shampoo made specifically for dogs. The dollar store offers dog shampoo for just $1. I'm not sure about the cat shampoo, but I know that dish detergent is NOT good for the dog's skin. It will irritate the skin. You'd be better off just using water and making sure you thoroughly rinse the dog.
The kitten shampoo would be MUCH better than dish soap or baby shampoo, both of which are too harsh for a dog's coat and skin. Why exactly does the poodle need a bath? Unless he rolled in something stinky or ran in mud, the dog probably doesn't need to be washed in anything.
I used dog shampoo, but if I didn't have that option, I would definitely go with Dawn. My vet recommended that to me, anyway. Just make sure dilute it and rinse well, as someone has already said.
I would have to imagine that the kitten shampoo is close if not the same as the puppy shampoo. I would use that. Although they do us Dawn for wildlife animals that are caught in the oil spills. Anyways I would use the kitten shampoo.
if you don't have money how do you care for your dog?! If you don't have money you shouldn't have a dog. What if it were to get sick.

Get dog shampoo or you will cause discomfort to your dog.
The Dawn is fine if you dilute it (put an inch in the bottom of a shampoo bottle, fill the rest with water), and make sure you rinse VERY well.
I would suggest a second job or a good friend who wants a poodle.

Also I would suggest the kitten shampoo, at least it's designed for mammals (not dishware).
Neither!!! There are all kinds of shampoo's on the market specifically for dogs. How did you afford a poodle, but you can't afford proper shampoo???
DO NOT use the dawn....it will dry your puppy skin too much....the kitten shampoo is about the same as puppy shampoo so use that....and put some conditioner on it after that and rinse
i would use baby shampoo as dish washing liquid may be a bit harsh on the skin and a cat shampoo is formulated for cats coats only
If ya wash your dog in kitten shampoo he may start meowing. Use baby shampoo
    Try a baby shampoo
    Use your shampoo.

go to this web...its good...i hope it helps...it helped me....and you can find out lots more abt g.p on the web....
you can buy small animal shampoo. that will be fine for them to use, just make sure that when they come out of the bath keep them in a warm place otherwise they will get cold/sick, small animal shampoo/conditioner is really cheap to buy and lasts a while.

    x
    Use baby shampoo, it's gentle.
    It is definitely ok to bathe a guinea pig so don't listen to people when they tell it is not. They get oily and they get bedding and stuff next to their skin which makes them itch. Just make sure when you bathe them there is a towel or a washcloth on the floor of the tub or sink, wherever you plan to bathe the little guy. He will freak out if he cannot get a grip on the ';floor.';

Anyway, DO NOT USE BABY SHAMPOO!! Or any kind of people shampoo. The pH is all wrong and it will give your piggy a skin condition all its own.

Either use an oatmeal puppy shampoo or a bunny shampoo. I prefer the oatmeal puppy shampoo because the bunny shampoo is very perfumey and the oatmeal is much better for piggies because their skin tends to be dry.

Make sure you rinse really really well, and towel them dry. Do not blow them dry, but cover their cage in a towel and put a towel in their house to cuddle in until they are dry so they don't get too chilled.

Then you will have a fresh smelling, soft, clean piggy! Also try to keep the water out of the ears.

    Good luck!

Why most hotels provide shampoo, soap, lotion but not toothpaste?

I think it's because the ';vending machine people'; have some kind of a contract with the hotels that say they can't so they can make some money. Half the hotels I've been in have coffee provided and not everybody drinks coffee. Toothpaste is a huge need, that's probably why.Why most hotels provide shampoo, soap, lotion but not toothpaste?
Most of the hotels I've been in have offered toothpaste. Why most hotels provide shampoo, soap, lotion but not toothpaste?
because 1. most people bring there own .. 2. everyone has there own taste .. and 3. if a guest needs it .. it doesnt' cost that much to get it at a convince store .. hope that answers your question*
A lot of them actually provide other things such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors etc but you have to call the front desk and ask and at one hotel, I actually saw a small travel kit in a vending machine!
Good question.....because most people are picky about their toothpaste but don't care about their shampoo?

It more likely is a result of the cost comparison. Shampoo, soap, and lotion are cheap compared to toothpaste most likely.
it depends where you go. lower priced hotels provide less because that's what you're paying for. higher priced hotels provide more because that's what you're paying for. that's pretty much all there is to it.
At some hotels if you go to the front desk you can purchase some for lyke 3 bucks...I used to work at the days inn ;0)
If you ask the front desk then they will most likely give it to you. It is more expensive. The chain hotels will sell it to you but the little ones most likely will have them for free.
Toothpaste isn't as cost effective as soaps.

Is it okay if I use dove soap bar instead of Shampoo for my hair?

or should I stop being lazy and just go and buy shampoo... Will the soap bar damage my hair?Is it okay if I use dove soap bar instead of Shampoo for my hair?
Try using shampoo bars instead of soap bars.Is it okay if I use dove soap bar instead of Shampoo for my hair?
soap is too harsh for hair and will dry it out. so, no.
If you use soap it might make it a dry because it has a higher pH balance, shampoo will keep your hair looking ';healthier'; but soap will clean it. If your hair is short though I'd just use soap.
soap is meant for your body because the chemicals are a little too harsh for your scalp. it's not horrible, but try to use shampoo

    OR

even just conditioner with the soap to soften it up

If you run out of shampoo, would soap work?

i dont think so cuz once my cousin stupidly put soap in her hair rather than shampoo and like a month later her hair was really dry and it shedded. It was GROSS!If you run out of shampoo, would soap work?
hey guess what? shampoo IS soap!. Report Abuse
If you run out of shampoo, would soap work?
    yes.
ya it would.. but be carefull coz soap dries yor hair out a lot
    yes
Yes, it will work to get your hair clean, but don't do it too often.

Regular soap is much more aggressive than shampoo and in the long run it will dry the hair and make it brittle.
Washing up liquid would work better
basically for proper hair health chemicals particularly harsh chemicals are to be avoided. It may be very good if shampoo also is avoided and instead home made nutmug powder can be very effective. There is no problem if hair is washed with only water. At the same time if soap is used for one time or so it may not cause much problem
NO NO AND No.. only in an emergency! you should never run out of shampoo anyway.......
    haha no
yes. i use Dove soap and made my hair soft.
Of course not!! I've ever tried it before (I used milk soap) and my hair smelled like milk in 5 days!!
    Yes...moreso for shorter hair though.

Chemically speaking, it is not detrimental, but soap can dry out hair fairly quickly. So, if you can replenish your supply of shampoo within a day, ...that would be great.
It will be ok for a day but buy shampoo as soon as possible, if you have really short hasi (like number 3 razor) soap will be fine for majority of the time
yes it does..but get ur shampoo soon..or else ur hair could break if continuously washed with soap..

  • Do bald people wash their head with soap or shampoo?

loool just curious, not to be mean or anythingDo bald people wash their head with soap or shampoo?
Omg I was just wondering that!

I think soap. Because shampoo is meant to wash HAIR, and seeing that they don't exactly have any(not to be mean)...

I'll ask someone, that's a good question.Do bald people wash their head with soap or shampoo?
    shampoo.

Soap is very abrasive, which is why you don't use body or hand soap on your face. Soap also dries out your body, so if you use it on your head, it might lead to dandruff or dry scalp.

what most people don't realize is shampoo is for the SCALP, not the hair itself. Shampoo is supposed to be working into the scalp (around the roots) so it will moisture the hair roots.
Why waste money and time on shampoo. The skin on your head is the same as the rest of your body. That's why i use soap.
Good question i've always wondered that myself.
    furniture polish

Which of these- soap, shampoo or tamarind water - is suitable to clean brass/copper objects?why?

please give appropriate answers.Which of these- soap, shampoo or tamarind water - is suitable to clean brass/copper objects?why?
tamarind water is the best to clean brass/copper objects as it reacts with the copper oxide film that has been deposited on the copper utensil.same is the case with the brass.so to clean these type of utensils tamarind water or lemon is used.Which of these- soap, shampoo or tamarind water - is suitable to clean brass/copper objects?why?
Soap solution is alkaline. Shampoo solution is almost neutral and tamrind -water is acidic as it contain an acidic compound, potassium hydrogn tartrate. Brass and copper objects get tarnished (become dull and get a black coating of copper oxide) on expousure to air. The oxide layer get dissolved due to reaction with the acid. Some other mild acidic solution like lime/ lemon /orange juice will also be effective.

I like taking showers and I prefer Olay body wash and the lotion. You can actually put on the Olay lotion in the shower, just rinse off and that's it.
Shower and wash hair every morning on normal days. When working out, I shower and wash hair before and after the trip to the gym. I use Suave daily clarifying shampoo, and Ivory aloe vera soap.

    everyday and use Ivory soap
This question is quite personal and I can only wonder why you're asking this.

I shower in the morning to wake me up and bathe at night to calm down. I use Dove soap both times and I use DooGro shampoo and a deep conditioner when I was my hair every few days.
Every day I bathe - and I use Aussie Shampoo / Coditioner - it smells wonderful!!
Shower in the morning. Use bath and body works shower gel. Garnier Shampoo, every other day.
Bath in morning, bath at night. Palmolive body wash and pantene shampoo.
I shower every day, and I wash my hair 6 out of 7 days of the week, so it has a day to rest and rebuild the natural oils. I use Joico's Silk Results, shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair so nice and soft.

I also have a bath on either Saturday or Sunday to shave, and do a mud mask. I use Dove soap, or any one of a selection of body washes depending on what scent I want that day. That's my hygiene routine.

    Why do you ask?
Shower or bathe every day, wash hair every other day.

I use bodycology shower gel and/or caress.

I use Aussie shampoo %26amp; conditioner.
two times in the week, every time i go outside my home i take body shower,i use dove soap %26amp; vichy shampoo.

I dunno!Do bald men wash their head with shampoo or soap?
do you wash your body hair with soap or shampoo?

i dunno!Do bald men wash their head with shampoo or soap?
As a balding person I use shower gel, which is on the same line as shampoo,

Though I see no difference in what type of detergent (that is what it is) soap is a cake shampoo is a liquid bath do the same job (gets your skin clean) and so long as you rinse properly there should be no problems IMHO

the only real difference is the perfume smells that are in the different products
My husband shaves his head, but still uses a decent sized amount of my Frederic Fekkai shampoo, which is supposed to be off limits, but I know he sneaks it. I dunno...I guess it depends on the guy, lol
they are suppose to wash with shampoo is less harsh on the scalp my husband use my shampoo and believe or not my conditioner too. it's all about taking care of your body and even though they don't have hard they need to use shampoo
    Well. They do wash with...

    Shampoo.

Even if you don't have hair you still need to keep your roots and stuff healthy. But that is a very good question.
    who cares lol their bald

Shampoo. The scalp, even if hairless, is different than the rest of your skin. It should be washed with a milder soap (aka shampoo).
Soap or shampoo. My father is bald and he uses soap some time but he also uses shampoo as well.
I'm getting bald on top,and i still use shampoo. Some guys heads are so shiny it looks like they use car wax!

DO you use soap or shampoo to clean your genital area?

Cause a nurse friend of mine said that i should clean my member with only water, i always use shampoo... i dont believe that water can clean as well as shampoo or soap.

She said that guys and girls have to wash the genital area only with water, to prevent ph problems and infections.DO you use soap or shampoo to clean your genital area?
I have a highly sensitive ';hoo-hoo';, so I use Summer's Eve hypo-allegernic , sensitive skin feminine wash. I can NOT use regular soaps or shampoos - the chemicals, coloring and fragrances would wreak havoc for me! I would agree with your nurse friend, all of these chemicals can mess up the PH levels in your genital areas - so be careful. At least use a hypo-allergenic substance if you feel the need to soap up down there.DO you use soap or shampoo to clean your genital area?
i have used both but water is main thing to rinse real good and dry real good
i just use water mostly, sometimes body wash
I use both, first I use soap, then I use shampoo.
Whether you are taking a bath or a shower, just water will do the trick. There will be some residual soap on your wash cloth or whatever, but you don't have to use soap because it can cause irritation and urinary tract infections, especially in young girls.
I use a little soap on the outside, but not on the inside because I'm prone to infections.
    I like dove soap.
um okay that's sick to share with us about you.
What are you kidding us? Your supposed to dust off the area with a light sprinkling of baking powder, this absorbs odors....wait ten minutes and blow dry off......only wash the area with a lye, perfume free soap...Ivory is good. Insure you Pat dry with a towel and don't be rough. Use a douche once a month if you are excessively sexually active.

As for your nurse friend.....go into her office at work , while she is there and ask all of her co-workers this same question, very loudly because you want a second opinion.

    Good Luck.
You should always use soap and water to wash away any infectious organisms. I'm in nursing school now and that's what they are teaching. Water doesn't clean-with the soap it does. Shampoo and condition the hair down there if you wish after soap and water. That feels good, too.

It's just like rinsing your hands or soaping up your hands before you eat.
never ever use soap/shampoo to clean your genitals!Water is enough if you do it properly.Soap or shampoo (particularly in women) will change the conditions of that area that your natural flora survive in.They die out and leave you susceptible to infections. This is more the case with women but in males it can have similar affects. Also soap and shampoo are not designed for these extra sensitive areas and could leave a nasty rash or some adverse side affect
I use Oil of Olay Body Wash to clean there.
the mildest shampoo's jonson or other baby products.
I alternate. Why not get the best of both worlds?
i think she means its not good to put shampoo directly into that area...but water is fine, it will still get cleaned.
umm Summer's eve.. sensitive and makes yu smell good i dont think waters enough but hey maybe for some people it is

yes its fine, but not too much, or it will bubble up.

i know lots of people who use dish washing stuff on clothes because it removes odors more effectively from work clothes, particularly on clothes used by plumbers. :).Can you do laundry with shampoo or dish soap?

Rember that,I never did that for a fur coat.
Yes. Dish soap would be better. It is just cheaper to use laundry soap.

Careful on how much you put in the wash load or you may have too much suds.
I use dishwashing liquid on greasy spots and collars. Don't put any extra liquid in washer. It will over suds and make a mess. Good luck!
l use regular dish soap for some of my real dirty clothes, Works great !

Is it strange for me to use women's soap, shampoo, etc.?

I am a guy who just started college... is it weird for me to use products like Dove body soap and Sunsilk shampoo? I like them because they have a lot of different formulas that help with different issues, like moisturizing skin and straighter hair.Is it strange for me to use women's soap, shampoo, etc.?
Not weird at all. I use women's hair care products all the time, and dove soap. Hair is hair, skin is skin, and although I don't know it for a fact, my educated guess would be that the corporations who make those products are using the exact same formulas for their male and female oriented products, just adding different smells to them.

Just don't use female deodorant. That stuff doesn't work. I've tried it. :)

  • What is the best ';soap free'; dog shampoo?

I am looking to find what people believe is the best soap free dog shampoo, something that is organic is a plus but not necessary.

I have a 10 month old Pug that receives Frontline Plus Flea medication each month. I understand from several veterinarians that shampoos with soap cut down on the long time effectiveness of the medication. So I am now beginning my search and would like any help or ideas that people can provide. Thanks-you!What is the best ';soap free'; dog shampoo?
Most quality pet shampoos do not have soap or detergents in them. I would suggest using a hypo pet shampoo without perfumes %26amp; dyes also for the best shampoo. I use Kenic products which are all hypo-allergenic %26amp; have an organic base instead soap based. They have a number of different formulas. What is the best ';soap free'; dog shampoo?
I use Hylyt its a soap free dog shampoo. smells nice and never had a problem with. I have a Jack Russell and since she's mostly white she has rather sensitive skin and since I started using Hylyt she has done great. I get mine from Petsmart but its not cheap about 17 or 18 dollars a bottle. not sure if its organic or not.
I like either NuHemp shampoos or Tropiclean shampoos.

Both are soap-free and pet-safe. They both do a very nice job and give easy combouts and a fresh smelling pet.
    water down baby shampoo

Did people use any sort of shampoo or soap in the 1500's?

Yes, although not in the form we would know it. Most (if they used anything at all) would use lye or animal fats, and mixtures of ashes and so on - quite a dangerous concoction. The Romans introoduced soap in the 1st century and its use persisted through the middle ages, Castille Soap - made from vegetable oils appears later in the 16th century and is the forerunner of modern soaps. Soap making in London was tradtitionally regulated by the Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers.Did people use any sort of shampoo or soap in the 1500's?
They did not bathe ofter, possible once every month or so, and they probably used the same sort of soap as their shampoo as well.Did people use any sort of shampoo or soap in the 1500's?
they did not bathe back then.

    It was considered unhealthy.

Can liquid soap, shampoo , shaving gel , razor etc be taken on a plane as checked in baggage?

I know you can't take these items on as hand luggage , but can these items be taken on as checked in baggage ?Can liquid soap, shampoo , shaving gel , razor etc be taken on a plane as checked in baggage?
yes you can check them..... they can be on the plane because you will not have access to them during flight ....Can liquid soap, shampoo , shaving gel , razor etc be taken on a plane as checked in baggage?
No sweetheart, not unless you want to be sitting in the airport security office for hours while they determine the contents inside the bottles.
You are allowed to check these items.
    CHECKED - YES

    CARRYON- NO
im not quite sure, what u might want to do is call the airlines you will be traveling with, and ask them what you can and can not have.
Check with the airlines you will be using. Minutes before leaving for the airport try to find the online policies and print them out. (Be sure the date and time is stamped at the bottom of the page when printing.) Carry the printout at all times during your travel and if a conflict arrises, show the authorities the printout as your reasoning why you are violating their laws which they like to change every two minutes. They might just let you go with a simple strip search to be sure you are not hiding any other banned substances. However, this will delay you from getting to your flight on time and you should plan on being on the standby list for around 4 days to catch another flight to your destination! Hee hee hee.... Just kidding... Best thing though would be to both check online policies and call the airlines within an hour of your heading out to the airport...then ask the airline check in clerks if any policies have changed since what ever time you called.
    Yep check it
Yes in your baggage that is checked, Nothing of that sort in a carry on though
It depends were yyou flying to...since the bom thing in the uk i think they don`t allow you to take almost nothing no more...the best way to find out is to call your airline or travel agent they can tell you
For a complete list of permitted and prohibited items you can check the TSA website.
There are no problems checking it in your regular baggage. Remember to put liquids in ziplock bags in case they leak. They really throw those bags around.
yes, they can be checked in your baggage.
You can have them in your checked in luggage, but not on plane
No! It has been all over the news (in the US anyways) that liquids are not allowed on a plane. You will be asked to throw it away right then and there. I believe formula is allowed and probably medications. But if you have meds I would suggest bringing in the paperwork for the perscription.
Checked is fine, there is a limit of a 16 ounce (I think) container size in checked luggage. Normal size shampoo bottle is fine.

What do hotels do with the unused soap and shampoo?

I used to be a cleaner in a hotel and we were told to leave it in there and just replace the used stuff. We had to inspect it properly to make sure it hadn't been used (as one answerer was worried that they would get used soap etc that had been replaced in its packet). It is easy to tell if it has been used so we could do our job without fear of leaving behind used products. There is no profit in throwing away perfectly good unused items (as we were told!)What do hotels do with the unused soap and shampoo?
They relabel them and put them in the same roomWhat do hotels do with the unused soap and shampoo?
They leave it there for the next people that are going to stay in the hotel so most of the time I just leave the bars of soap and shampoo alone! It could have been opened and just left there. The cleaners might mistaken it for a new one an leave it there. That is very unhygienic. But occasionally, they chuck it out.
I dont know what they do with them.

But i know what we can do, so no other people face problems.

Get rid of them as soon as we leave the hotel.
    recycle
    Chuck it.

What the heck would we want with it?
Generally its thrown out, to prevent cross contamination. Sometimes staff take it home, depends on the policy of the hotel. If the packet is unopened, some just leave it there for the next client.

shampoo, because one, it has the types of nutrients to keep ur hair healthy, and two, because soap has the types of nutrients ur skin need. soap dries out ur hair. so i wouldnt use soap unless u want dry, fried hair when ur hair dries.Do you use shampoo or soap when you wash your hair?

If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?

please leave religion out.If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
i would pray to God to clean my head, and if it didn't get clean then he must want me to be dirty. If you were bald would you use shampoo or regular soap to wash your head?
would it matter, you're still wasting soap
    ha ha great doubt!
Shampoo. Though there may not look like there is not any hair, there are hair glands on your head. Regular soap can irritate it, and can cause you discompfort. Go with the shampoo.
    Soap, it's just skin.
My boyfriend is bald and he uses regular bar soap.

Shampoo I thinkDo bald people wash their heads with shampoo, soap or not at all?
Who knows? Maybe they only wash it with body shampoo because it's pure bare skin like your other skin around your body.
I would say yes because they still want their heads clean. A lot of guys, bald or not, actually like a shampoo from Paul Mitchell called ';Tea Tree Special Shampoo'; because it leaves a clean, almost minty feeling on their scalp.
They use soap dont they? but sensitive stuff. then they wax it. with bald peoples wax. its well cool.

Can I use Shampoo for Laundry Soap?

in a pinch i have used shampoo and dish washing soap but i wouldn't do it all the time ... plus if you put to much in there you'll have a sudsy mess lolCan I use Shampoo for Laundry Soap?
probably a small amount, but i would turn to dish soap first before shampoo - and again, only in a small amountCan I use Shampoo for Laundry Soap?
Lol. Did you run out of laundry detergent? I hate when that happens! Shampoo doesn't clean very well, plus it over suds. Try using a little baking soda with a very small amount of shampoo or lemon juice.
Yes. Here's the catch. You need to use a shampoo for color treated hair because it doesn't suds up. Not sure how clean it will get your clothes. Do not use the same amount you would use as if you were using regular laundry detergent.
No way you will oversuds, buy detergent
Yes you can , but use very little, say about 1 tablespoonful. If you put more than this you will have lot麓s of suds . Also they will not be rinsed properly. If it麓s just a few clothes you are going to wash. wash them in the tub first with cold water, rinse them a little then pop them in the machine. If you have a nice neighbor, pop over and ask for a cup of washing powder, sure they won麓t mind, just until you buy some of your own.
just drop in a bar of soap with the load of clothes
In a pinch, it works. Especially the anti-tangle type works well to ';loosen up'; clothing that might have been accidentally tossed in a drier and shrank.
Use laundry detergent instead of shampoo.
It works if you're out of laundry soap and just have to wash a load NOW. I've done it many times. Shampoo, though, contains sodium laureth sulfate, which is a sudsing agent, so don't overdo it. I've also used dishwashing soap for laundry soap. And body wash for laundry soap. And you can use hair conditioner as fabric softener!
No, too many suds.. borrow some from a neighbor if you can't get to the store or use 1c. of baking soda.. If you are really stuck....
