Can shampoo or soap evaporate on its own when left on a surface?

To make a long story short, if someone had shampoo or soap on their hand and then got a bit on a table then didn't clean it up, will the soap or shampoo evaporate completely? Would the chemicals still be left behind? Can shampoo or soap evaporate on its own when left on a surface?
Rinse it off with water, the soap will not evaporate the water in the soap will. It'll leave a kinda greasy place where it once was... or maby even a sticky place depending on the chemical used. Can shampoo or soap evaporate on its own when left on a surface?
Some chemicals will still be there. You can still smell where it was, and that smell is remaining shampoo. It'll wash off with warm water.
