go to this web...its good...i hope it helps...it helped me....and you can find out lots more abt g.p on the web....
you can buy small animal shampoo. that will be fine for them to use, just make sure that when they come out of the bath keep them in a warm place otherwise they will get cold/sick, small animal shampoo/conditioner is really cheap to buy and lasts a while.

Use baby shampoo, it's gentle.
It is definitely ok to bathe a guinea pig so don't listen to people when they tell it is not. They get oily and they get bedding and stuff next to their skin which makes them itch. Just make sure when you bathe them there is a towel or a washcloth on the floor of the tub or sink, wherever you plan to bathe the little guy. He will freak out if he cannot get a grip on the ';floor.';

Anyway, DO NOT USE BABY SHAMPOO!! Or any kind of people shampoo. The pH is all wrong and it will give your piggy a skin condition all its own.

Either use an oatmeal puppy shampoo or a bunny shampoo. I prefer the oatmeal puppy shampoo because the bunny shampoo is very perfumey and the oatmeal is much better for piggies because their skin tends to be dry.

Make sure you rinse really really well, and towel them dry. Do not blow them dry, but cover their cage in a towel and put a towel in their house to cuddle in until they are dry so they don't get too chilled.

Then you will have a fresh smelling, soft, clean piggy! Also try to keep the water out of the ears.

Good luck!

go to pets mart of pet co and they would have some
guniea pigs should not be washed unless they have a skin condition which means they need medicated shampoo from a vet
Hello gr8huagirl,

I help to run a guinea pig rescue with my friend, you do not need anything special all you need in a mild anti-bacterial soap will work just fine. Just make sure you keep the water out of eyes ears and nose, My personal piggies love to swim and getting blow-dried.
