When do you stop useing baby soap and shampoo for your toddler?

My Son is 20 months. I was wondering when do you stop useing baby soap and shampoo?

Also, what kind do you use when you stop useing baby soap and shampoo ?When do you stop useing baby soap and shampoo for your toddler?
You know I never thought about that. My daughter is 24 months old and I still use baby shampoo and bosy wash and plan on using it probably until she is able to wash her own hair. Then I would probably switch to the Kandoo stuff which is for older kids but still doesn't burn her eyes. When do you stop useing baby soap and shampoo for your toddler?
I have 3 boys ages 4 yrs, 2 yrs, and 6 mths. I still use baby shampoo and wash.
As long as the shampoo you are currently using is doing the job, I wouldn't worry about switching. As he gets older and his hair changes, you may need something that will make it more manageable. Until then, if it's not broke--don't fix it!
i think you should/could keep using it indefinitely.

many products that adults use are to strong for youngsters. professional advice would be prudent.
My son is 2 years %26amp; 7months and I still use it on him. There's no time limit, it's what you prefer...my son was allergic to the huggies toddler body wash so I just stuck to what I know.
my daughter is 3 and has very long hair, and until recently we used the suave shampoo and conditioner. but her sensitive skin decided it was too drying, so we've now switch to pantene. its easy on her hair and actually helps with the curly tangles. on her body we use the aveeno body wash for sensitive skin, and we're going to switch to an adult body wash soon, because most of my husband family has skin allergies to regular soap.
My son is 2-1/2 and I still use the baby shampoo and soap. The shampoo won't hurt his eyes like regular shampoo. I figure when they are old enough to understand that they need to close their eyes so that soap doesn't get into them. I use the soap as its mild and won't dry out their skin
OMG! Dont do it. Have you tried baby shampoo on your own hair? It's amazing. And the soap always smells soooooo good. My kids dont use baby shampoo anymore, but I still do. LOL
My daughter is 7 years old and still uses it, it's just so much gentler, plus it smells good!
I use Grins %26amp; Giggles shampoo for my 24 month old son and use it to wash his body also, as it does the job and is still gentle enough for his sensitive little skin that he got from his daddy. I quit using baby shampoo + body wash when his hair starting feeling sort of prickly instead of soft after bathing.
I gave up with the baby soap around 1 year of age. For me, the simplier the better! I just use mild adult shampoo for the kids hair and bodies...and it is the same shampoo I use.

Kids shouldn't be that sensitive after a year. You will know right away if you use regular shampoo and your baby breaks out or not.
I use Johnson's Buddies Shampoo and Conditioner for toddlers on my daughter's hair and Baby Soap on the rest of her body (however that do have a body wash that I love... just trying to get rid of all the baby soap first)...

I found that her hair just didn't feel or look clean with baby soap once it was about 2.5 - 3 inches long... I guess if you are going to keep your childs hair short it doesn't really matter what kind of shampoo you use since I know even some adult men that have very short hair and choose not to use shampoo on it, and you can't even tell.

After this ';toddler'; shampoo and conditioner I plan on switching to the Loreal kids shampoo and conditioner line until she is about 8-10 or until her hair is so long that I NEED adult shampoo, since I plan on growing it out... Stick with no tear shampoo until your child is old enough to effectively keep the shampoo out of his eyes though since the chemicals in shampoo can damage a child's eyes (actually anyone's eyes for that matter)
I quit using it close to your sons age because my girls have curly hair and it just does not help detangle enough. I use L'Oreal Vive for curly hair for them. I know hes a boy but you could probably use what shampoo you use. And my kids and I have such sensitive skin that we use Johnsons Moisturizing Baby Wash instead of soap.
I still use baby soap on both my kids(18 months and 4), because they have sensitive skin. I use the Loreal Kids shampoo for my daughter's hair because I want something that won't sting her eyes. If your son's skin isn't sensitive to perfumes or anything, use whatever soap you like, but I'd still get the kids shampoo.
Loreal and Sauve both make kids shampoos that have conditioners built in and are tear free. They are great and come in a variety of smells. Loreal has one that is fast drying and it is wonderful.

YOU CAN USE BABY STUFF TO THE AGE OF 100 ANY ONE CAN USE IT OK UNLESS WHEN THEY GO TO JR.

HIGH ARE HIGH SCHOOL THEY GET PICK ON OTHER THEN THAT IT IS OK I STILL USE IT OK

TAKE CARE
until about 2-3 years of age.
I never did use baby soap or baby shampoo for my daughter. I used aloe to bathe her and I used a conditioning shampoo and conditioner for her hair. Baby shampoo dries the hair out terribly and is not good for the hair. The reason it is so ';gentle'; and doesn't sting the eyes is because it is made with saline, saline is salt water...salt dries. Use a good moisturizing shampoo and keep it out of the babies eyes. It's not that difficult to do.
It doesnt matter but with the kids i babysit the mom stopped using it at 2 years when the child learned not to put soap in his eyes because the adult stuff can be very dangerous and you always wana stay cautious.
My grand daughters (one at 8 and twins at 10) still use a kids shampoo. It is easier on their hair.

I do believe they were about 6 when their mom stopped using the baby shampoo.
We use the new Johnson and Johnson moisturising soap for adults. It works for her and us. I love it, it smells soooooo good. Good luck
My son is 3 now. And I still use baby soap on him sometimes. The next step would be a childrens bodywash/shampoo.
I took my daughter to a kiddie hair salon at 20 months (she has always had a lot of hair) and the woman told me that she told all her clients to stop using baby shampoo after 6 months because it was drying. I changed to the shampoo and conditioner line from Loreal and my girl's hair is much, much softer.
